Designers may want to specify a type of finish or appearance the crates will have.
Many companies will carry different grades of wood and you may need to have certain orders use a better grade with fewer knots, smoother appearence, such as "show crates" which would require a better outward appearance than a crate shipping construction materials.
Selecting this does NOT change the crates construction but simply provides more information to shop staff.
